Our Story

Sixty years
of purposeful work.

The Taparia Group was not assembled from opportunity — it was cultivated from conviction. What began as a single enterprise in Biratnagar in 1965 has grown, through deliberate effort and generational commitment, into a diversified group with interests spanning food manufacturing, agro commodities, and specialist healthcare.

Our manufacturing operations are based in Duhabi, some fifteen kilometres from Biratnagar — close to the agricultural heartland that supplies us, and well-positioned within Nepal's eastern trade corridors. Procurement is direct, relationships are long-standing, and quality standards are non-negotiable.

We distribute nationally, under brands that have earned their recognition through consistency rather than promotion. The group's expansion into healthcare through Taparia Eye Care reflects the same ethos — rigorous, patient-centred, and built to last.

"Three generations, one standard. The work changes; the principles do not."

What Guides Us

Principles that
outlast cycles.

Integrity in every transaction
From grain procurement to surgical care — the standard does not vary by industry or circumstance. The Taparia name is a guarantee, not a formality.
Proximity to the source
Direct procurement from farmers, clinical care close to underserved populations, distribution infrastructure built from the ground up. Proximity is not incidental — it is deliberate policy.
Generational thinking
Three generations have managed this enterprise, and the decisions made today are weighed against the obligations they create for those who follow. Scale is a consequence — never the objective.
